We are pleased to announce that Tasha Bevan-Stewart, a Senior Associate in Morrisons Solicitors’ Family team in Camberley, has been appointed co-chair of the Resolution Collaborative Working Party, a group formed to promote and support collaborative practice. Tasha actively promotes and runs collaborative cases in her day-to-day practice.
Resolution, (previously Solicitors Family Law Association – SFLA) is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and professionals in England/Wales and promotes a non-confrontational approach to resolving family law disputes. The Resolution Code of Practice encourages sensible, cost-effective solutions, especially taking into account the interests of children.
Before Tasha’s appointment as co-chair, she has been specialist family solicitor and member of Resolution for 10 years. She feels very passionate about solicitors and clients working together constructively in the interests of preserving family relationships and keeping costs down.
Tasha is a Resolution-trained mediator and a Senior Associate in Morrisons Soilicitors’ Family team, with specialist expertise in bringing separating couples to the table to negotiate their divorce arrangements via the collaborative process.
Speaking of her new appointment Tasha said:
Collaborative practice is a supportive and practical way for clients to problem-solve while they are going through a divorce. As a working group, we hope to provide practical guidance and tips to practitioners trying to grow their collaborative practice and we want to spread the word to the public about the success of this method of dispute resolution.
