Sundeesh Makkar, Personal Injury Solicitor

Sundeesh is a Solicitor in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2017, having previously gained experience in this field as a Paralegal.

She joined Morr and Co Personal Injury and Clinical negligence team in November 2021 and works closely alongside Charlotte Rees-Knowlden and the rest of the team.

Sundeesh has experience in advising clients on personal injury and medical negligence claims, as well as helping them to access rehabilitation treatment to help improve their lives following a life changing injury.

Sundeesh has always acted for Claimants, and has experience dealing with complex injury claims, including brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputation, musculo-skeletal injuries, facial and dental injuries.

She also has experience of dealing with international Personal Injury claims. This includes claims arising from road traffic accidents abroad, Package Holiday claims, and accidents occurring during air and sea travel. She has experience of dealing with these claims both in the English Courts and in other jurisdictions.

Sundeesh is passionate about supporting her clients throughout the claims process, not only to achieve settlement for them, but also to assist with arranging rehabilitation treatment. The main priority for those who have sustained life changing injuries is usually to obtain the right treatment and assistance they need, and Sundeesh is passionate in helping her clients obtain this support. This can include surgery, treatment, therapy, care, aids and equipment, and even adaptations to the home.

Sundeesh understands the importance of applying The Rehabilitation Code at an early stage in the claims process and securing interim payments from Defendants from the outset to fund rehabilitation. These payments can often make a difference to her clients’ lives and Sundeesh enjoys being able to help and support her clients. She loves the rewarding nature of her work, in helping her clients receive the rehabilitation support they need and securing financial settlement. She enjoys seeing how this can improve the lives of those who have sustained life changing injuries.

Alongside her role as a Solicitor, Sundeesh is a committee member of The Association of Asian Women Lawyers. The aim of this organisation is to promote Asian women in the law as well as equality and diversity within the legal profession. Sundeesh enjoys working with the committee to organise regular events and networking opportunities, to meet likeminded individuals and encourage and support those who are new to the profession.
