After starting with Morr & Co in March 1998, Mandy began practising law in the Residential conveyancing department in January 2000, dealing with residential sales and purchases, remortgages, commercial mortgages and plot sales.
She moved to the Private Client department in 2004, (whilst finalising the study for the Legal Executive Fellowship) and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2006. She completed a postgraduate diploma in Law at De Montfort University in Leicester in June 2011 and completed the Legal Practice Course in June 2014 at the University of Law, London. Mandy was admitted to the roll of Solicitors on 1 November 2017.
Mandy’s clients are from all walks of life, and she deals with a varied level of estate value. She has particular experience in dealing with deceased’s estates – advising on associated inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax matters and intestacy.
Mandy also gives advice in relation to Wills, estate planning, preparing declarations of trust, advising on all types of Powers of Attorney (Lasting Powers of Attorney and general powers), lifetime trusts and Court of Protection matters such as Deputyship Orders and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
Mandy loves acting, and she can be seen treading the boards occasionally, with her local theatre company. The most memorable duty she had to perform was accompanying Sir Ian McKellan in his capacity as patron of the Little Theatre Guild, to a performance at the theatre.
Mandy is involved in charity work, chairing the fundraising committee at her local theatre and assists the fundraising committee at her local infant school.
