Jemma is a Solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team.

Jemma completed her training contract with Morr & Co, completing seats in Litigation, Family and Residential Law. She is therefore able to draw knowledge from her varied training background, bringing a unique perspective and comprehensive skill set to the table. She is known for her unwavering dedication, meticulous approach and client-focused ethos.

Jemma has built an array of experience whilst working alongside the partners in the team. This includes advising individual and corporate clients on a broad range of disputes, including those arising from commercial agreements, director and partnership disputes, professional negligence, and bankruptcy proceedings. Jemma’s experience involves both County Court and High Court litigation, alongside resolving disputes before issuing proceedings.

Examples of how Jemma has supported clients include:

• Assisting a corporate client and two individual shareholders in connection with a claim for the unlawful appropriation of a business by a third party. This matter resulted in a 12-day trial in the Circuit Commercial Court.
• Advising on the formation of trust structures and the implications for beneficiaries
• Managing extensive disclosure exercises in the Business and Property Courts
• Defending and settling a family dispute surrounding an alleged partnership
• Defending and counterclaiming on the breach of a joint venture agreement
• Successfully setting aside a default judgment against a guarantor
• Successful debt recovery and bankruptcy proceedings
• Resolution of professional negligence claims

Interests 

Outside of work, Jemma enjoys walking her dogs, volunteering at Girl Guiding and visiting her family in Madrid.
