
James is a Partner in our Commercial Dispute Resolution Department, having joined Morr & Co as part of the merger with Wheelers Solicitors in 2019. He advises businesses of all sizes and individuals on resolving disputes in the fairest, fastest and most cost effective way possible.
He is a member of the Civil Justice Section of the Law Society. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2002, James has experience of a wide range of areas of litigation in the County Court, the High Court and the Court of Appeal including contract and property disputes, landlord and tenant, insolvency, professional negligence, disputes between directors or business partners and debt recovery.
He advises several clients in the construction industry and has dealt with many cases involving that sector in the Technology and Construction Court. He acted in some of the leading cases on adjudication including Cantillon v. Urvasco and YJL v. Workspace.
James is active in the local community in Surrey and has served as a Borough Councillor in Guildford. In his little remaining spare time, he enjoys getting out in the countryside, going to the theatre and spending time with his extended family.
