Jack joined the firm in September 2021 as an Assistant Executive in our Court of Protection team based out of our Redhill office having spent seven years at a national firm where he has undertaken the same type of work since February 2016.

Jack has significant experience in dealing with clients that are deemed to lack capacity to manage their own property and affairs including as a result of a personal injury or clinical negligence, those that suffer from mental health issues who often have fluctuating capacity and the more vulnerable and elderly clients that might have learning difficulties or who have been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease and consequently need a deputy to act on their behalf in their best interests.

Jack currently assists on all aspects of property and affairs deputyships, including preparing the initial application for the appointment of Holly Chantler of this firm to act as a professional deputy, but also carrying out day to day management of client’s affairs once Holly Chantler has been appointed, such as liaising with clients’ families, local authorities and other professionals in the process. Jack also has considerable experience in making one off applications to the Court of Protection, which will usually be for the appointment of a lay deputy where the appointment of a professional may not be necessary, as well as requesting permission for existing deputies (whether professional or lay) to purchase or sell property on behalf of a client.

Interests

In his spare time, Jack regularly travels all over the country supporting his football team Crystal Palace home and away. Jack also enjoys travelling and exploring different countries, although this has been limited somewhat in recent years due to having a young family.
