Deborah Prance qualified as a Solicitor in 1984 and was a Partner of a London firm from 1990 until moving out to Surrey with her family in 2001.

Deborah joined Wheelers as Head of the Family Law Department in September 2012. Deborah has considerable experience in most areas of family law, with particular expertise in the financial aspects of marriage and relationship breakdown. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association), which encourages the settlement of family law issues in a constructive and non-confrontational way. She is also a Resolution-trained mediator.

Deborah understands that the breakdown of a relationship can cause anxiety and uncertainty about the future and adopts a sympathetic and constructive approach to alleviating her clients' concerns. She has acted for directors of large multi-national companies, business owners, airline pilots, members of the armed forces, teachers and individuals resident overseas, amongst others, and is comfortable dealing with the issues which arise when acting for such clients. Those who instruct her commend her for her efficiency and the service which she provides.

Deborah relaxes out of the office by sailing, playing tennis and choral singing.
