Morrisons achieve Gold Accreditation at IIP

The way we lead, support and manage our people has always been one of the pillars of our culture and our strategy, and in 2017 we engaged with Investors in People (IIP) so we could benchmark our performance against the best in the business across all sectors and on an international scale. In 2017 we were very pleased to be awarded the silver accreditation by IIP.

So in 2020, following an in-depth review by Investors in People, we were delighted to have made excellent progress and we have now been awarded  the Gold Accreditation.

Gold Accreditation means we have more than just the right policies in place - it means that everyone across the firm at all levels in all offices takes ownership for making them come to life.  Currently, only 17% of accredited organisations achieve Gold.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate the Morrisons Group. Gold accreditation on We invest in people is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Morrisons in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Commenting on the award, our Managing Partner Paul Harvey , said “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved, particularly during a pandemic. I want to thank everyone in the firm for their contributions and dedication, and the huge part they play in our success – this accreditation isn’t about recognising the leadership team, it’s about each and every one of us. As we grow and develop as a firm, it’s important we continue to take good care of our unique culture, our values and the well-being of our people”

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.
