The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (the “TUPE Regulations”) protect employees’ terms and conditions when their employment transfers from one organisation to another, usually upon the sale of all or part of an organisation or where a contract to provide services transfers from one organisation to another.
The TUPE Regulations are complex and can prove a real headache for HR managers charged with overseeing the transfer of employees. In their seminar, Joanne and Laurence will demystify the TUPE Regulations and provide practical examples, in the context of a case study, of how the TUPE Regulations apply and the things HR managers should consider when dealing with the TUPE Regulations. They will also be giving an update on the significant changes to the law in this area that are anticipated in the not too distant future.
