The Morrisons employment team joined up with Hardwicke Chambers to run a highly successful Mock Employment Tribunal event in the court room style hall at the Guildhall, Guildford on 18 October.
It was a great event and well received by our delegates from local and national companies who watched as the disability discrimination and unfair dismissal claims of Emily Blunt played out in front of them.
The morning included cross examination of witnesses, closing submissions, live electronic voting by the audience and delivery of the Judgement by the Tribunal Panel. This was followed by a Q&A session and “top tips” on how to avoid tribunal claims.
The event focussed on the practical while providing training and insight into the tribunal procedure at a time when the number of employment law claims by employees is on the rise.
