Employee shareholders

CODE GREEN

The House of Lords has voted against the Growth and Infrastructure Bill clause introducing employee shareholders. This comes after yesterday’s budget promised the introduction on 1 September and that the first £2,000 of shares could be tax free. If the employee share ownership scheme does come in, a raft of claims to the County Court over share valuations seems inevitable.  For further information please contact a member of the employment team.
