We are delighted to announce that Catherine Fisher, Head of Dispute Resolution, has been appointed to sit as a Deputy District Judge on the South Eastern Circuit.
One of our core values as a firm is that we serve our community. Catherine said, “I have previously served as a local councillor and public service is something I have wanted to return to. I am proud to have been appointed to serve the public and the civil justice system and I am looking forward to the challenges of this new role”.
As a Deputy District Judge, Catherine will sit on a wide range of civil cases such personal injury claims, contract disputes, disputed debt claims, possession proceedings against tenants and mortgagees, and insolvency proceedings.
The South Eastern Circuit is one of seven circuits in England and Wales, and includes courts at locations such as Brighton & Lewes, Norwich, Cambridge, Guildford, High Wycombe, Oxford and Reading, but excludes London.
