We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Property Solicitor with around 3-6 years of post-qualification experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial property law, demonstrating both technical expertise and the ability to manage a diverse caseload. You will work closely with clients, advising on various property transactions, and contribute to the growth and success of our practice.

The suitable candidate will be:

  • Advising clients across all aspects of commercial property law including:
    • freehold acquisitions/sales
    • landlord and tenant transactions (leases, licence to assign, licence for alterations, deeds of surrender etc)
    • option agreements
    • overage agreements
    • secured lending

Duties will include -

  • To ensure client communication and contact is regular, timely and sufficient for the client’s purposes.
  • To produce work to the required professional standard to encourage referrals and repeat business.
  • Maintain the firm’s reputation of providing a quality legal service to the Firm’s standards as laid down in the Professional Standards Manual and other documents produced from time to time.
  • Engaging clients, developing client relationships and provide a high level of client service.
  • Assisting the clients with process through their retainer.
  • Liaising with other professionals.

To develop and implement compliance practices and procedures with regard to Client Care and File & Case Management within the Firm.  Ensuring that the firm stays compliant in accordance with the Law Society and Solicitors Regulation Authority.  GDPR regulations, Anti-Money Laundering regulations and any other Accreditations ensuring that the firm standards and best practices remain current with changes.

Together with the Managing Partner to ensure that the Firm adopts best practice in the delivery of legal services and to minimise the impact of poor service, client complaints and claims on the Firm.

  • To develop appropriate and suitable written compliance procedures regarding Client Care within the Firm.
  • To recommend changes/updates to the Firms Quality and Standards Manuals, with particular attention to the Professional Standards Manual and the firm’s Anti Money Laundering Policy – working with the HR Business Partners to keep these manuals up to date and relevant.
  • To recommend changes/updates to working practices to ensure compliance to SRA/Law Society and other appropriate standards.
  • Ensure all client complaints and claims are recorded, managed, investigated and resolved within the Firm’s procedures and issue acknowledgement letters to all complainants.
  • Encourage HODs to deal with complaints swiftly and fairly with the long-term aim to retain the client as a client where possible and desirable.
  • Resolve potential client complaints as early as possible to enable a resolution to be found before a formal complaint is raised.
  • Maintain a central record of all complaints and bring matters to the attention of the Managing Partner as relevant.
  • To ensure that claims and claims circumstances are promptly notified to the insurer and assist in the efficient administration of such claims and liaise with the managing partner on any terms of settlement
  • To administer any claims delegated by the insurer under any small claims handling clause and completion of any small claim’s bordereaux
  • Bring matters of concern to the Managing Partner
