Two new Partners and an office expansion for Morrisons Solicitors

As part of its continued growth, Surrey and South West London based Solicitors, Morrisons promoted two well-regarded Senior Associates to Partner from 1 May.

Firstly, Kathy Fitzgerald has become a Partner and will lead Morrisons’ growing Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Team out of the firm’s Wimbledon office. Kathy joined the firm last year and acts solely for claimants. Kathy has extensive medical knowledge having previously worked as a registered nurse and midwife before she qualified as a solicitor. Over the years Kathy  has built up significant expertise acting for clients with claims for Ophthalmic negligence, head injury and in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and in particular birth injury claims.
Also making the step up to Partner is Matthew Hearsum from the Property Dispute Resolution team. Matthew is a leading expert in the field of party wall disputes, and most notably disputes arising from basement extensions. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, a fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and an Accredited Mediator.

The Partnership announcements come swiftly after the firm’s relocation of its expanding Wimbledon team to newly-refurbished offices at Connect House in Alexandra Road, close to their previous offices in St George’s Road. Following a very busy year, the Morrisons team is looking forward to supporting the vibrant Wimbledon business community and continuing  strong relationships with many local businesses and organisations.

Managing Partner Paul Harvey commented “I am delighted with the  appointment of two new Partners and the  expansion of our Wimbledon office to much larger premises. Matthew and Kathy are both talented lawyers and are great additions our Partnership. The new offices on Alexandra Road provide  a great working environment for the team and for our clients and the facilities to provide an outstanding service to our clients . Wimbledon is an exciting place to be at the moment and we now feel that we are even better placed to play our part in  the growth of the town.”
