Emma’s training contract experience with Morr & Co

Current trainee solicitor, Emma Nash, in her second seat within our Dispute Resolution team gives an overview of her training contract with Morr & Co including her experience of applying for her training contract and the seats she has undertaken so far as a trainee.

What made you choose to apply to Morr & Co for your training contract?

I already knew the firm from living locally and when I saw that they were offering a training contract I chose to apply. From the outset of the training contract application process, Morr & Co were accommodating, kept me well updated and offered a clear training programme and structure. I was delighted when I secured a training contract with Morr & Co.

What seats have you undertaken so far as a trainee solicitor?

Morr & Co offered me to join the firm early as a paralegal prior to the commencement of my training contract. This allowed me to settle into the firm, and my department, prior to beginning my training contract.

My first seat was in the Dispute Resolution Team specialising in Contentious Trusts and Probate work. In this seat, I have followed a tailored training programme and been closely supported by both the solicitors and the partners whom I assist. I have been heavily involved in our casework and have had the opportunity to attend both court and mediations. This has provided me with invaluable experience.

Morr & Co offered me the flexibility to extend my first seat so I am remaining within the Dispute Resolution team for my second seat. I am looking forward to my remaining time in the team and I am excited to see what the remainder of my training contract has in store.
