R&R Connects – September 2018

On Thursday 27th September we hosted our bi-monthly networking event R&R Connects, held at Old Reigatians Rugby Club in Reigate.

We welcomed around 60 people on what was a lovely sunny evening for complimentary drinks and canapes. This time around we saw many new faces, as well as our regular guests who all had the chance to network throughout the evening and we hope managed to make a few good connections.

Joanne Kavanagh, a Partner in our Employment team took a moment to thank everyone for joining us, before making a few announcements on behalf of everyone at Morrisons. Firstly, she mentioned a couple of our upcoming events including our ‘Employment Mock Tribunal’ which is happening on Thursday 18th October at the Guildhall in Guildford, if you would like to find out more or register please click here. She moved on to note that our Corporate Insights seminar series will be back in November with a new case study concerning how a successful and growing business can react, manage and protect its self during a significant and unexpected downturn, for further information please email [email protected]. Lastly, Joanne took a moment to announce that last week at the Surrey Law Society Awards we won ‘Law firm of the year’ and Holly Chantler, Partner and Head of our Private Client team won ‘Private Client Lawyer of the Year’ – we are very proud to receive these recommendations from such an important body within this industry.

Joanne then welcomed Mike Jackson, our Business Development and Marketing director to declare the winners of the business card draw. Congratulations again to Louise Camby from Voice Productions who won herself a bottle of prosecco and to Simon Pither from PATMA for winning the business prize draw and taking home our bag full of Morrisons goodies!

Our next R&R Connects networking event will be held on Thursday 29th September, we will be sending out an official invite soon so look out for it! If you would like further information regarding our events, or would like to consider sponsoring and raising your profile locally, please contact [email protected].
