Morr & Co training contract – Q&A with Jemma

Current trainee solicitor, Jemma Durham, in her second seat within our Dispute Resolution team gives an overview of her training contract with Morr & Co, including why she applied, her experiences and memorable moments. You can find out more about our training contracts here.

Why did you choose to apply to Morr & Co for your training contract?

I joined Morr & Co as a Paralegal and knew from the beginning it was where I wanted to train. The culture, core principles and colleagues were all influential in my decision to apply for a training contract with Morr & Co.

Tell us about the seats you have undertaken so far as a trainee and your experiences

I worked with several experienced lawyers in the Residential Conveyancing team during my first seat, who provided me with broad exposure in interesting conveyancing matters including high net-worth properties. I had the pleasure and trust of handling cases from start to finish and can say I trained during the SDLT “holiday”.

My second seat is in Dispute Resolution. My first day provided me with the exciting opportunity to shadow a Partner of the Firm at the High Court securing an injunction. I am two weeks in and excited to learn and develop my skills alongside very talented solicitors.

Find out more about our training contracts, the application process and other trainees experiences here. Our application process for our training contracts closes on 29th April 2022.
