Morrisons boost their Employment team

Leading Surrey law firm Morrisons Solicitors has recruited Sophie Pelham from asb Law to join their growing employment team.

Sophie has experience of acting for a wide range of businesses, organisations and high net worth individuals, particularly from the public sector, charity, construction and travel industries. She has significant expertise in employment tribunal claims, including those with multiple claimants and trade union represented claims.  Sophie is particularly successful in negotiating settlements and withdrawal of claims. She provides her clients with immediate, clear and concise advice on all aspects of employment law, as well as guiding them through internal procedures, such as dismissals, capability, conduct and redundancy procedures.  Sophie provides support in corporate transactions, including advising on employment issues and negotiating terms in outsourcing and business restructures. She also carries out review and update of employment documentation and has extensive experience of presenting training courses on employment law issues.

Sophie is a Member of the Employment Lawyers Association and presents seminars to directors and HR Managers on various aspects of employment law, including disciplinaries and grievances, discrimination and changing terms and managing sickness absence, as well as employment law updates. She also drafts articles for local and industry-specific publications highlighting live employment law issues.
